Robin Bengtsson can go on… as he joins the London Eurovision Party!

The acts keep rolling in! The next artist to join next month’s London Eurovision Party is Sweden’s Robin Bengtsson. He will be performing at the Café de Paris in London’s Leicester Square on April 2nd.

For several years now, Melodifestivalen has been the favourite national selection for many Eurovision fans. The Swedish competition receives lots of media coverage and fans eagerly await the Swedish entry each year. This year, Robin Bengtsson would a closely fought competition. His song I Can’t Go On won the international jury vote and finished third amongst the Swedish public. Once the votes were combined, Robin won the Swedish ticket to Kyiv!

Robin rose to fame on Idol

Robin first rose to fame in the 2008 season of Swedish Idol and released several singles over the following years. His fame rose to new heights after competing in Melodifestivalen 2016 with Constellation Prize. The song immediately became one of the fan favourites and finished in 5th place. Furthermore the song became the biggest chart success of Robin’s career, hitting the #2 spot in the Sweden’s national chart Sverigetopplistan.

A year later, Robin returned with I Can’t Go On. The song was written and produced by David Kreuger, Hamed “K-One” Pirouzpanah and 2013 Swedish Eurovision representative Robin Stjernberg. Robin’s song was enhanced further by an eye-catching and unique performance that consisted of treadmills for he and his dancers to perform choreography on. It certainly must have needed a lot of rehearsal time!

Following his victory ahead of Nano’s Hold On in Melodifestivalen 2017, Robin immediately hit the top of the Swedish Spotify chart. Now we look forward to Robin appearing at the London Eurovision Party in just over two weeks time. Vi ses snart!
