  1. Anaconda I'm as sick as fuck.

Ukraine's national final of Vidbir 2019 will take place tonight at 5pm WIM.

I apologise for the tardiness of this post, as I only now got a chance to listen to the second semifinal songs and pull this together.

These are the 6 finalists (semifinal performances):
    1. Freedom Jazz - Cupidon
    2. Yuko - Galyna Guliala
    3. Maruv - Siren Song
    4. Brunettes Shoot Blondes - Houston
    5. Kazka - Apart
    6. Anna Maria - My Road

French entrant Bilal Hassani will perform his song Roi, while Czech representatives Lake Malawi performed their song Friend Of A Friend during the Semifinal Two show (I linked this specific performance of theirs).

My favourite act is Brunettes Shoot Blondes (unsurprisingly, they are great, but the song doesn't build enough), but I would be absolutely fine with either Kazka or Anna Maria (both good tunes with competent performers).

UKRAINE IS OUT, much to many people's delight.

Following the breakdown of talks between the public broadcaster and Maruv, winner of Ukraine's national final Vidbir 2019, and her subsequent withdrawal from the project, the opportunity was offered to Vidbir runner-up Freedom Jazz, who declined, and then to third-placed act Kazka, who also declined. Faced with this situation, Ukraine has decided to withdraw altogether from the ESC 2019.

Good on all three of them for refusing to go. Ukraine need to stop politicising everything.
