UA:PBC has just released a call for songs and artists for their Junior Eurovision 2019 national selection. Following the last year’s procedure, the broadcaster will hold an online national selection from which the winner will be selected by a professional jury panel.
Children from 9 to 14 can send their applications from now until the 8th of August by registering on the official website of the project at https://junior.eurovision.ua. Candidates must meet the requirements and follow rules of the contest available online along with the submission forms.
The Ukrainian national selection will be made up of the following stages:
- Submission period, 8 July – 8 August.
- Selection of finalists, 9 August – 11 August.
- Announcement of finalists, 12 August – 14 August.
- The winner will be published no later than ten days after the announcement of finalists.
An expert committee will select both, the finalists and the overall winner.
Last year, Darina Krasnovetska waved the Ukrainian flag in Minsk performing the song ‘Say Love’. She got the 4th place, the best Ukrainian result since 2013.
