    What do we know then?

    • Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (Yohanna) ofc she represented Iceland in 2009 (Is It True?), being one of the big favourites to win that year, she finished 2nd just behind the record breaking winner Alexander Rybak.
    • Birgitta Haukdal she also represented Iceland back in 2003 with the song ''Open Your Heart''
    • Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson, probably not as known to us like the previous ones, but he was responsible for both 2004 (Heaven) and 2007 (Valentine Lost) songs.
    • Jonas Gladnikoff was part of the team behind the Irish songs in 2009 (Et Cetera) and 2010 (It's For You).
    • Ashley Hicklin co-wrote the Belgian 2010 song ''Me And My Guitar''.

    Brigitta:

    Yohanna:

I've had a quick flick through and IMO the first SF is much stronger than the second one. Yohanna surely has to be the favourite (even without being Yohanna :P) with Birgitta and Magni hot on her heels, closely pursued by Svavar Knútur and Hreindís Ylva. Maybe they won't want to go for the girl/boy thing this year though. I am really struggling to find 3 (or even 1 tbh) from the 2nd SF :( (Apologies for the kiss of death I have obv saddled these people with.)

I read an article today and it seems everyone involved with this entry is fed up with the song being compared to this:

This song goes into the top half of my ranking. I love his voice.

I love to hear English versions of entries. I don't always prefer them, but I like that they exist so i can try and sing along to them.
I love this entry as it is,so don't expect an English version to be better but look forward to hearing it anyway (if/when it happens).

According to this news article, Iceland's song is just about ready. The video is being finished and lyrics have been written in English, French and Spanish. On Friday they'll apparently publish which version will be performed in Malmö, and in which language.

I personally hope they keep it in Icelandic, even though they may record other versions of the song. Iceland has never done that though; they have always sung in English since they've been able to, so it won't be surprising if that's the choice this year as well. We'll see on Friday.

Someone else has posted it for the moment, so it's just as well to post it here. It's still not officially available outside of Iceland, I have no idea why.
