  1. Rua Haldor Lægreid Impersonator

    :pl: Krajowe Eliminacje aka Pile o' Shit 2k16 :pl:

    01. Dorota Osińska - Universal (I'm a massive fan of anthemic, peace-power ballads. I love her voice and it lifts what would be a rather alright song into something else. It's my most played of these entries (to be fair, it's the only.)

    02. Margaret - Cool Me Down (This is such a Swedish production, it's almost criminal. Using the tried and tested method works, of course. Only problem is that based on some Polish opinion, Margaret isn't a very competent performer when it comes to energy which this song needs in buckets. We'll see how it goes - singing well was never necessary for a good placing, hlo Kalomira.)

    03. Natalia Szroeder - Lustra (As the only Polish song of the lot, I applaud her for sticking with her own language. The production sort of annoys me and I don't know why - it doesn't exactly set the senses alight. In a year of middle of the road, I don't think this is necessary.)

    04. Edyta Górniak - Grateful (Edyta's song has warmth but I'm not sure, it's just there, really - being a big name with a relatively weak song.)

    05. Taraka - In The Rain (It's bizarre - it offers originality that Kasia couldn't give deliver - I don't want this in Eurovision but it's something different.)

    06. Ola Gintrowska - Missing (I quite like the instrumental for this but it stays stagnant throughout the time it has.)

    07. Kasia Moś - Addiction (It's something different but different doesn't always work. I can't really get behind this song, it leaves me rather cold.)

    08. Michał Szpak - Colour of Your Life (Is it just me or does this sound like a boyband track from the 90s? Nothing wrong with the 90s but this sort of song is so dated and it really shows with his brassy, Liza Minelli vocals. No thanks.)

    I listened to all the MF songs (finally) and well I can't make a top 10 but....just a few songs I like..

    Frans - If I Were Sorry (ok, this is the best I've heard in any finals in 2016 so far - I love it) - in my opinion, it's the only song in this MF that can get a good result

    Dolly Style - Rollercoaster....very pleasant and I like the melody

    Samir & Viktor - Bada Nakna...interesting in a weird way

    Lisa Ajax - My Heart Wants Me Dead.....it's catchy

    Oscar Zia - Human....a honest song, I like the lyrics

    Eclipse - Runaways....very good, different from the rest

    In other news, I just saw the first esc 2016 song on our TV..and it was Sergey's..followed by a bunch of compliments (the lyricist being Greek might have helped..lol) and declared 'the absolute favourite' :rolleyes:

    Croatia - Nina Kraljic - Lighthouse



    My opinion: I love Nina's style and voice but I think that the song would work better in Croatian. Still, I think it's one of the best songs so far and I expect it to do well on the night...if they get the staging right. Needless to say it will be in my top 10.
