6th edition of ESCchat song contest ! and now the offical promo thread too

Helloooooo and welcome back to moofistan (it must be the moof milk rooofl)
anyway here are the rules for anyone who does have 1/2 a brain *looks at mina*

RULES

· Songs cannot be Eurovision songs, and they cannot be songs that have taken part in national finals or were planned to take part in national finals. This includes any variants, covers, different versions etc of ESC/NF songs, and JESC songs. They’re not allowed!

· However songs can be by artists that have taken part in Eurovision/Eurovision national finals.

· You can send a song from anywhere in the world.

· If two people end up trying to choose the same song or two people enter songs by the same artist, the person who submitted it first wins the rights to that song! So submit early!

· People do not represent countries; they simply represent the song they chose.

· (Almost) anybody can enter

· Also if you wish to do a NF you may do so and if you do make sure you don't reveal the results.

· To take part you need to:
1: Email a song (that complies with the rules) to me [email protected] with the following info:
Youtube links ONLY
Title of song
Name of performer of song
Name of country
Flag of country (NEW)

2: Don’t tell anybody what you’ve chosen!!

3: Email me your votes, when all the songs have been revealed! But just like the songs, don’t tell anybody your votes!! Then I’ll post a document with the complete scoreboard and we can all bitch about who did/didn’t award points to each other!

4: And finally, the winner of this one organises the next one!

in terms of dates, since i have 21 songs already and most people are going away on the 4th july, i was thinking entries to be in by eithe tomorrow or friday at the lastest..... hows that? *looks at mina* lmao

also i was thinking about using this thread for promo instead of making a new one. what do you think?

I think by tomorrow it would be ok...and the promo also on this thread...it would be nice if you could add it to the title though.

Btw I am going away on the 30th of June and returning on ... I think its the 3rd .. so just so you know if my votes aren't in its probably cos i'm not here so theres no point waiting for me lol But obv if the songs are revealed before the 30th or the voting period is open till after the 3rd I can vote

Considering that the contest is ideally supposed to start on 1st July, I think that the voting should start on this day and thus give Jonny plenty of time to vote after 3rd.

Ty chris But don't work the dates around me, if I can't vote I can't vote its no biggie! If the songs aren't revealed until after the 30th though I can always vote on the afternoon/evening of the 3rd at the earliest. The trouble is I think alot of people are going away literally just after I come back which makes it kinda awkward Anyway basically, don't worry about me when working out the dates

Well, technically this edition is supposed to last for 2 weeks at the very maximum so I fail to see how anyone could NOT vote but anyway, if you have 23 songs and providing Lokum/Nova Nova Scotia/Serduchkia aren't entering I think you'll be ready to release the songs

N.B. those who do not vote shall be TARRED and FEATHERED, as per usual

As this is now a promo thread .... My entry

The singer is a young Swedish guy and this is his first single. It's a pop ballad (I think) sung in English. When he was in London recently the Guardian wrote "... Is he destined to be the new, young Robbie Williams?"

He wrote the song together with a team of songwriters who've written songs for Melodifestivalen, Helena Paparizou and Amy Diamond (including the song we were all talking about last year )

For the 6th edition I sent very interesting song in Bulgarian! I think this is the first Bulgarian song in ESCCHAT contest! It's performed by female singer who sings pop, pop-folk and chalga music I like alot!
Video is HQ and I think very good!
I hope at least one person will like it (Eurovizz LOOOOOL)

My song is a piece of awesome synthesized electro-new wave punk by one of my favourite bands ever It may not be what some of you usually listen to but please don't write it off straight away as although it is quite different, i'm sure everybody can find something they like in the song

My entry this time is a pop-rock song sung by a band you all know. It's a great song in my (and I hope in your) opinion. The band is very successful in their country and quite popular in some other countries too. The version I have sent is not the full version (because I couldn't find it) but it skips the intro which lasts more than 1 minute so I think it might be more appropriate!

Mine is by my favorite northern neighbors: the Canadians This is song is being performed by a Canadian female duo that sings about reaching their loves (in a non-corny way). What i love are the driving terms they use in the lyrics. Their voices are sure to please It's slower than my other songs and more acoustic

My song is a Spanish song that I suppose most of you have heard before. It's a relatively new song (unlike most of my previous ones) of 2004 or 2005, it's very passionate and dramatic and I hope at least I won't be last..lol
