With Júlio providing the data, I made some statistics about Round 1 of the Best Song of All Time game.
I'll start off with the statistics of the countries, later tonight or tomorrow, I'll add more statistics!

But, here we go with the statistics of the countries:
Three countries managed to get 100% score: all of their entries qualified for Round 2.
These were:

• Morocco (1/1)
• Serbia & Montenegro (2/2)
• Azerbaijan (5/5)

Two countries managed to get a dramatic 0% score: none of their entries qualified for Round 2.
These were:

• Montenegro (0/4)
• Czech Republic (0/3)

The oldest songs to qualify come from 1956.
These are:

• Michèle Arnaud - Ne Crois Pas
• Lys Assia - Refrain

The three most successful countries with more than 20 participations (so 'the old participants') are:

• United Kingdom - 83,6% (46/55)
• Greece - 78,8% (28/33)
• Portugal - 76,1% (35/46)

The three least successful countries with more than 20 participations are:

• Monaco - 33,3% (8/24)
• Spain - 30,8% (16/52)
• Malta - 16% (4/25)

A few countries are in serious danger to follow Czech Republic and Montenegro and lose all their left entries. We could say that countries with less than 5 songs in Round 2 are in danger. Of course, it is most likely that most of these countries will survive Round 2 with at least one entry. These are;

• Ukraine (4/10)
• Lithuania (4/13)
• Malta (4/25)
• Georgia (3/5)
• Armenia (3/6)

indeed this is a great work... i don't know how much time you needed for it but it is really a huge thread!
I am surprised that Moldova and San Marino got only a few qualifiers, they deserved more imo.

San Marino have only been in it 3 times; one of their entries was crap and one was debatable (imo). How do they deserve more?

As Janet said, San Marino only misses The Social Network Song, can't say that's undeserved. Moldova got 3/8, almost half their entries, not brilliant, but not as dramatic as Poland!

Indeed, Denmark was rather shit in the earlier years, so that can be explained. Austria however has quite a few songs that used to be fan favourites and somehow failed now, they really surprised me.
