REIK GOES FROM 4th TO 14th IN MASIOSARE'S ESCCHAT SONG CONTEST DEBUT.

CRUSTYVILLE, JAMOUKOVIA, July 10th (MASNews) - Pop group Reik couldn't manage to reach the Top10 on Masiosare's debut in the 24th edition of the ESCchat Song Contest that ended hours ago in Crustyville, the capital city of Jamoukovia. Reik acheived 14th. place in the contest.

But the shock was even greater when the Semi-Final voting results revealed that Reik ended in 4th. place in the first part of the contest.

"This has been an emotional roller coaster: first we qualified for the Final, which we celebrated; then we were a couple of times at the top of the scoreboard at the beginning of the voting", said Julio Ramírez, back vocalist of Reik. "Unfortunately we slowly watched how we descended from 1st. to 14th; but when the Final ended and we found out that we got 4th. place in the Semi-Final, we were totally surprised. I still don't know what to think".

When they were asked why do they think about the 10-places sinking, Jesús Navarro mentioned that there are songs that grow faster in the audience's likes: "maybe our song didn't grow fast enough, so that's why we fell to 14th after a great result in the Semi". He ended mentioning that, nevertheless, it's a great result for a debuting country. "Of course, debuting and reaching the Final is a good step for Masiosare, so we hope that [Masiosare's] next entry can also make it to the Final".

EVERYTHING'S READY FOR EDITION #25

"There were a lot of emotions during the Final. Being at the top of the scoreboard at first was truly amazing; but then we saw how Masiosare slowly descended in the scoreboard. Suddenly we got our first set of 12 points in a Final from Esterra and some more votes from other 10 countries (thank you all for your votes!), but still we slowly descended... and we received votes in the Semi from almost the double of countries and we got 3 sets of 12's from Nawrocka, Xhanostania and Planet Janet! Thanks to everybody who voted for us! A 14th. place for a debuting country is not that bad. It is a decent and respectable result; and now our goal for next edition is to achieve a 13th. place or higher. No lower places", said Pepe Páez, Head of Delegation for Masiosare.

And he believes Masiosare will achieve this result with the country's next entry. "As mentioned before, MasRTV joined with +Canal to divide broadcasting costs and alternate between them to select the country's entry. Now it's time for +Canal to send their entry in a non-Spanish language, as stated before", ended the Head of Delegation.

"For this second attempt in the ESCchat Song Contest, +Canal decided to send a song in French", says, Esther Morales, CEO of the second biggest broadcaster in Masiosare. "The song was released during last decade, but it still sounds fresh and modern. It has a soft lounge-like sound, with a cool beat, a soft guitar, a catchy chorus and a good performer". When asked about the singer, Mrs. Morales only said: "HE has African origins".

THE WINNER: INSPIRELAND

In a breathtaking Final, where many countries were at times in the first place, host country Jamoukovia was about to win for the second time in a row. But in the end, during the final voting results, Inspireland took the first place with only 1 point difference with the song "Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen" performed by Frida Gold. As a result, the 25th. edition of the ESCchat Song Contest will take place in the capital city of Ivalice.

The theme for this edition will be "Thank You", as a way of appreciating all the effort and hardwork from the founder and Executive Supervisor of the ESCchat Song Contest, Mr. J.W., for the last two years in which he created and developed the contest format to become one of the most important musical contests in the world-wide-web: with a lot of people getting to know each other and sharing new music.

Nawrocka, Moldijan, San Minino, Custonia, Wiccania, Tiralonia, Sheepmark and Sylvarova make the rest of the Top 10 for this edition.
