(Not really sure what section to put this thread in, but here it is anyway!)

OK basically I have been doing a bit of music-writing recently, I have two songs atm written, one of which I sent to Sheep and the other one here. I worked it out on the piano, and found a sheet-music transcriber where you can add guitars, violins, flutes, drum lines, all sorts of things and it then exports it as a MIDI file, so the sound that you hear is computer generated, which probably explains the slight tinnyness of it.

At some point I will do the other song with instruments and all, cos at the moment all I have is the piano line which needs adding to. Anyway, thank you to sheep for making me write them up and eventually finding a way to turn them into actual recorded noise! Please take a listen and feekback would be appreciated greatly!

The song is called “Behind the lies” and the lyrics are about an abusive relationship, where the victim is too scared to tell anybody … yeah, happy isn’t it lol. (But don’t worry, it’s not based on any personal experience or anything like that!) But I thought sad lyrics would suit the funeral-esque tone of the song, but I shan’t post the lyrics yet as they are not complete. Oh and i'm not singing it, just no.

Nice melody but I can't imagine it with lyrics. I think I prefer it as an instrumental piece.

It's really good! Altho the lack of instruments make the tune sound monotonic , at a greater scale in the end of the song ,
if u let the music spirit intergrate in it , u can feel the sensitiveness it has!
I'd like to know the lyrics btw. The title sounds interesting

Oh , and on 1:37 , i believe if u made the "tragicness" more intense until the end of this part(1:57) that would make it more interesting

Ty guys Like Alex said, i'll try and make it sound more full. When I post the lyrics if any of you want to sing it you're more than welcome to, and also the other song, i've just finished mostly and am just adding touches, and its far more upbeat and less funeral-y than this song

OK so last night in the chat Annette asked if I would post the other two songs, so I shall Also I re-did “Behind the lies” so its just the piano now and nothing else, and imo sounds less like funeral music

Song 2 and Song 3 are quite similar, in their structure and things like that, in that they both start off with just a piano and build up to quite a big ending, so next time I’ll do something different.

Song 3 is my favourite
