Hello everyone.

Janet and I are pleased to announce that we will be working together to produce a celebration of 100 editions of the contest. This will be something of a Congratulations-styled event, which will feature a variety of montages and retrospective pieces and we will announce the favourite songs from each decade of the escChat Song Contest, as voted by you.

Over the coming weeks a poll for each chat contest decade will be released inviting you to choose your three favourite songs from all top-4 finishing songs in that decade. Therefore there are 40 songs from each decade to choose from and we want your three favourites. Voting is 12-10-8 points style. Please send your votes to me by private message – and keep them confidential!

To help you decide there is a recap below courtesy of jw, and links to the contests. Remember ONLY pick your 3 favourites from songs that finished in the top 4 in contests for each decade.

NOTE: You can vote for your own songs - however the poll results will be made public after the event.

Please remember this is a friendly event celebrating the history of the contest and its songs. This is just for fun and doesn’t impact on any contest rankings and certainly doesn’t mean your song isn’t a good one if you don’t top the poll. There can be only one chosen from each decade so many great songs will miss out.
