So here we are! The brand new shiny Düsseldorf version of escChat.com is finally here!

The new chat room isn't ready yet but we have the new site now - and huge thanks to escdaily.com for providing us with the live news!

Some parts are still a work in progress though... such as the fact some videos might say "this video is not available in your country" even when it should work fine. That's a problem with the current version of the player and will be fixed in a future upgrade - as soon as it's released I'll upgrade us to resolve that problem. But it's out of my hands and there's no point delaying the whole site because of that.

You should see some more flags and also notice that the flags have their own button in the text editor now too.

There's a more comprehensive statistics page, live betting odds and a more social feel. You can follow others and 'like' posts too. You can also have more natural 'private conversations' instead of private messages.

As I said though, it's a work in progress and there will be some obvious teething problems. I hope you stick with us during that time, provide feedback and help to build this site to become one of the best sites out there for the Eurovision Song Contest!

Also, for the most optimal experience, please don't use Internet Explorer 8 or below if possible. There are some rendering glitches there that have been resolved in Internet Explorer 9, but if you use any earlier version of Internet Explorer you will find that the experience is degraded.
