After only (!) four heats and two semifinals (held on 5, 19, 26 January and 2, 9, 16 February), Lithuania is ready to conclude its „Eurovizijos“ Dainų Konkurso Nacionalinė Atranka this Saturday, 23 February (links and exact time to follow). The 8 finalists are (semifinal perfomances): 1. Alen Chicco – Your Cure 2. Justina Budaitė – Junà – Strength Of A Woman 3. Henry & Tommy Modric – Neverpart 4. Jurgis Brūzga – CTRL ALT DELETE 5. Jurgis DID & Erica Jennings – Sing! 6. Monika Marija – Light On 7. Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys - Mažulė [Kid] 8. Jurijus – Run With The Lions Yes, Monika Marija has made it with both her songs (she was the only one to enter two songs to begin with). Light On is the clear favourite, having not only obtained top scores from jury and televote in its heat and semi, but also ranking higher than any other heat/semi winner. She had asked fans and jury not to put Criminal through to the final, but there you go, now she has withdrawn her second song and was replaced by Alen Chicco. has to sing twice. Otherwise, nothing particularly fantastic missed out on the final, from the original lineup of 48 songs, in my opinon. My ranking would be: 1. Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys (I do like a bit o’ folk in a national language, and unfortunately Latvia missed out) 2. Justina Budaitė – Junà (good song, very talented girl). 3. Monika Marija’s Light On better than Criminal (both are very competently sung) 5. Henry and Tommy Modric (pleasant tune). 6. Jurijus (OK song) 7. Jurgis DID & Erica Jennings (OK song, but a bit thin) 8. Jurgis Brūzga (delete is right, htf did this crap make it?!) and Alen Chicco (more crap).
