Could someone explain dubstep to me? I haven't a clue and I've been on a site that shows the top 30 dubstep songs of all time, and I've never heard of any of them

Things I've heard about the new song: Esma isn't a happy camper and might do an Elitsa (huff to get the song she prefers) and that the Macedonians are happier while everyone else is more negative about it; with Imperija the reactions were the other way around.

Right... The songs in the ESC which are being described as dubstep don't seem to have anything in common to me. I have looked up and read 2 "explanations" which are both as clear as mud, so I am none the wiser. I therefore thought if I can find out some dubstep songs, it might give me a clue a to what exactly it is, however I have never heard of any of them. If I ever get a spare 5 minutes I might listen to some, but I thought there might be some kind soul out there who could give me the idiot's guide to dubstep.

It's basically an electronic sort of 'music', where the tempo is really fast (around 140bpm), a lot of bass lines and basically just noise. The best example this year to listen to would be the chorus of the Slovenian entry.

But that's what I mean. The Slovenian song is one of the most horrible songs for years, and yet I rather like this Macedonian song (especially when Esma isn't singing). They are nothing like each other.

It's no 'Crno i belo' in my opinion. It's just noise to my ears.
I ranked Kaliopi 17th last year, but the song grew on me more throughout the season. 26-30 this year, sorry FYR Macedonia.
