    I don't know what Andra Olteanu plans to do if she wins (God forbid), but Irina Popa already said she would switch to English. Jukebox 'sings' in Romglish, but I can't imagine that song going anywhere. HFc sok xxx

    Basically a fantastic line-up. Slovenia has done a great job.

  5. Rua Haldor Lægreid Impersonator

    As a usual stout supporter of Slovenia, I felt compelled to listen to these snippets.
    01. Raiven - Črno Bel (First one that grabbed me - sounds like it could be influenced by Bjork. Certainly one to watch for me.)
    02. DBASE - Spet Živ (I like the chorus with the male singer with a nice, anthemic spet - it reminds me of Daz Sampson.)
    03. Sebastijan Lukovnjak - Tales of Tomorrow (Mumford & Suns - Little Lion Man, is that you? It's inoffensive, could get a toe tap out of someone. Inoffensive is all I can say about it, though.)
    04. ManuElla - Blue and Red (I feel this song has potential but it's unfortunately let down by ManuElla's dodgy english and what could be silly lyrics. Blue is blue, red is red? Obviously.)
    05. Žan Serčič - Summer Story (This twee, teen pop isn't my favourite genre but this is... just okay. Could be better in full.)
    06. Nuša Derenda - Tip Top (Tell me, who's that lucky hero? This reminds me of Mr. Nobody and it's dated, which is disappointing.)
    07. Anja Baš - What If (Filler song.)
    08. Regina - Alive In Every Way (Knowing that I'm one of a few that actually liked her 1996 song for being sweet with a lovely instrumental and sugary vocals - this just grates on my ears. No thank you.)
    09. Anja Kotar - Too Cool (Similarities to that grating, 'I am woman, hear me roar' style of song with a jazz influence. Not for me at all.)
    10. San Di EGO - Brez tebe (I really dislike this sort of whiny rock that never goes anywhere, I feel this might be laced with guttural roaring at some point and.. no.)

    If it were just the quality of the songs/performances, Jamala would be way above the rest, and I doubt anyone else will go to Stockholm. But her song is simply not my cup of tea, so I put her rather low in my list.
