Latvia's songs are available This country had 71 submissions and the jury narrowed them down to 20. Listen to Latvia's songs: http://eirovizija.lv/lat/eirodziesmas-2011-pusfinals/finals/ The Latvian Broadcaster returns to the pattern used two years ago when the song for Eurovision Song Contest was selected during two semi finals. Five songs from each semi final 10 entries will qualify for the final - three of these songs will be determined by the televote, but two will be chosen by the jury. There is also a novelty - The Second Chance Round where the 10 songs not qualified for the final compete. Only two entries, one chosen by televote and the other by jury, will pass to the final. The first semi final is taking place on February 5, 2011, the second - on February 12, 2011, the Second Chance round - on February 19, 2011, but the final of Eirodziesma 2011 will be broadcast from Ventspils theatre hall "Juras Varti" on February 26, 2011.
Omggggggggggggg what I heard ... The snow froze my word so yeah wtf. Well so the tags are " Turkey" " Tarkan " and " Teurovision" all starting with T , how wonderful Now my point is to announce that Tarkan confirmed his participation in esc or something like that. Here it is : http://eurovision-turkey.com/portal/sayfa.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2725 Ewwwwwww , the post was in november so TRT is probably gonna announce it in late december . And thats probably gonna be a belly dancing song as usual and Europe loves them , sooooooooooo it could win ...
People can now submit a song for Emmy until January 15th. The public will decide the winner through a televised final. I heard *supposedly* the record companies of the singers interested in going to Germany must pay 60% of the bill themselves. The names of the contestants are expected to be known later this week. More Belgians are in the national final; scroll all the way down to where it says Artistes 100% to hear them. http://eurovision.akamusic.com/ Exactly 2 weeks from now is the deadline to reach 20,000 Euros and be in the national final. Azerbaijan bent its own rules and instead of just accepting one person from a heat (the televoting favorite) they also chose the runner-up as a wildcard. Nikola Barkley's from Scotland and she's working in Baku and she was chosen despite missing lots of notes in all the performances of her that I saw. (My guess is that Azerbaijan wants a native English speaker to go for them)
Attention Lenavision is here and here are the latest news about the german delegation in Dusseldorf except for the fact Lena is going to defend her champion title which we all know http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/0,1518,735103,00.html

When talks about the deadline to announce your participation come up, I always see two: December 20th and 25th. I'm not sure what's going on or which date is the right one, but I'll keep you guys posted and keep those fingers crossed for more countries from the last few years returning. Possible comebacks: San Marino Montenegro Hungary Slovakia said they were out because of money, but I read a report that said that they still applied so hopefully the hole in Central Europe will be smaller in 2011. Of course there's always going to be a hole because of their sore loser neighbor, but meh.
