2nd edition of JECSC - the Rules

  1. Mina Member with a "past"

San Minino is proud to announce the 2nd edition of JECSC (Junior EscChat Song Contest)

    Here are the rules:

    1. No eurovision songs or national final songs allowed.
    2. The singer must be age 15 or under.
    3. No Disney songs allowed.
    4. You can't hold a national final, you and only you are responsible for your choice.
    5. You can't send a song in English unless you are from the Uk or from the USA or from Australia (if you come from one of those 3 countries, you can send a song in any language you like)

Here are the dates of the contest:

August 11-17 : submit your songs (title, artist's name and YouTube link) by e-mail to [email protected]. Or PM them to me in here.
August 18-24 : voting in the same way as above
August 25 : results will be published.

If some date isn't convenient for you, contact me (by email or PM) and we'll see what we can do about it.

  2. Sheepmark was officially the first country to submit it's entry :) we are very enthusiastic about this contest as we feel it demonstrates the true nature of escChat in a light-hearted and caring manner. Despite the relatively poor position of 9th in the inaugural event, the media were highly impressed with the contest overall and the winners Zouzounia are currently enjoying success in the music charts - we are hoping to book them to play in one of the concerts which comprise the tri-annual "To Breathe As One" celebrations held in the coastal city of Ráhkesvuohta which borders Kristonia :)

As for our second entry, due to a change in the rules, the national broadcaster have had to change the planned song to one of our future entrants. It is a song that should be familiar to all of you and may seem like a bit of a 'cop-out' choice, but I have to say I love it :) a nice simple, heartfelt ballad is all you need at the end of the day.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone! xox
  3. Jackeroo The Big Unit

Television Jacuvia can confirm that Jacuvia will participate in the JECSC. TVJ are doing their best to find an entry which can get the country off to a good start in the escChat contests. A number of entries are being considered, and we hope you like the entry we officially choose :)! Best of luck to each and every country that participates.
  4. Estêvão Did you ever know that you're (JW) my hero

    JECSC Key

King Estêvão I of the Kingdom of Lusitânia would like to formally present the Key to the Junior EscChat Song Contest to Queen Mina of San Mino!

All of Lusitânia wishes the beautiful island nation of San Minino all the best of luck with the 2nd Edition of the JECSC!!!

(And the next shipment of Prime Lusitânian tobacco is on its way...)
  5. CTP Jass hater

TVSKL has found the funds to participate a second time, despite the outrageous fees of the ECBU. Perhaps more importantly, it has found several candidate songs, and we'll be releasing more details during the month of August.
  6. Mina Member with a "past"

Unfortunately Prince Willie ate the Key :o
  7. ollie2283 jedan sam čekao je ovdje!

Fusionias entry has been chosen and once again i love the song XD
i am beaming from the responce of the last edition 3rd!
this next song is pretty predictable for me, a rock song - however the language of czech definatly gives it a harsher edge of an amazing song i am so lucky i picked this song now, as the artist is gonna become 16 within the next couple of weeks
good luck to all again and thank you to anyone who voted for me last edition !
  8. The State of the Ark will participate in the 2nd JECSC. Our entry will be submitted in August :)
  9. I thought we all agreed destruct couldn't take part in these contests? :D

Being that I'm American, which means: 1) I have NO idea what I'm talking about and 2) I like seeing a good argument between Europeans...let me just add...

Lidl is the abhorrent offspring of Asda & Aldi.

(Like I said, I'm American, hence I have no idea what I'm talking about!) :)
  18. ollie2283 jedan sam čekao je ovdje!

tbh we arent argueing its just that us brits prefer to insult shops than people :P
    eg oxfam, lidl ikea etc
    no harm done eh?
  19. c1ask0 Napkin of death holder

Eww, not Aldi. That's even worse than Lidl! :o
  20. My cousin has a great expression for those three (and other low-brow stores) POVSHOPS. (i.e. poverty-shops for those of you who are a little slow on the uptake)
