2012 must be the end of the world, I never imagined even yesterday that I'd become a Jedward fan But it happened I would happily want to see them represent and qualify for the final with this song
I don't like Jedward, but this song is far better than lipstick, so I will have to say "well done" Jedward this year
I am pleasantly surprised by the Irish songs this year, they are all half decent. Personally I can't choose an outright favourite, but my top 2 are jedward and Andrew mann, followed by Una Gibney and David Shannon, Maria McCool and Donna McCaul
i like the song, it would become my 2nd fav this year (based on the songs we have so far), but i kno how they are live, so i hope they work out their live vocals, if they do then they might do very well, and this time it would be deserved.
It's a grower, simply that for me. I still think it's album filling material, but the Irish NF isn't that spectacular. I was ofc very biased when I saw the name Jedward with it. However, it still does not beat Donna McCaul for me. It might go 3rd/4th.
I'll also throw my hands up and admit that I have been converted to Jedward. I'm pleasantly surprised.
as an addendum - I love the chorus of Mistaken - her voice is quite haunting - shame the rest of the song is a bit dull
It's not as obnoxious as Lipstick, that is a given. Does this make me a fan of Jedward? Unlike jw, I have a stronger resolve and have not fallen for their twink charms. I only hope that jw will see the light soon...
Well Ireland wouldn't let them go without decent backing singers who can carry the tune for them! However, I have to say I am not terribly keen on any of the songs. Here is my expert opinion: Maria McCool - ew, too ethnic Donna MacCaul - monotonous and nothingy Andrew Mann - also nothingy and he's not even easy on they eye Una Gibney and David Shannon - the tune and arrangement are ok, but the words are awful; so twee (to steal the word from jw'sgfbas) Jedward - is unremarkable but will probably do well DISCUSS!
LOL, I'm sure it won't fail. I trust the boys, they'll have a great show. My only doubts are about their vocals but if even Kalomoira could appear to be able to carry a tune, I'm sure they can do it, too. I'm also more hopeful about the juries than I was last year. Waterline is clearly a much better composition than Lipstick and I expect the pop members of the juries to fully support it.
The song is wonderful indeed, but I shall stick to my opinion from last year - Jedward are yet shit for me.
