OK time for my comments. I had high hopes for this, and I still think it's the best of the songs so far, but I am disappointed. The intro is awkward, and sounds ridiculous. It should either have been all rocky, or all dancy, but mixing them both is clumsy. Then we have the key change, which also seems forced and unnatural. Finally the ending is a bit flat. There is no "oomph" in it. Nevertheless, in spite of this I still like it
I just have to share this version of Echo (You And I). In #23, Empelia was represented by Hungarian Viktor Varga and 'Lehet Zöld Az Ég'. He has now recorded a French-English-Hungarian version of 'Echo (You And I)' together with Anggun.
Rude! their voices work together and compliment each other. The harmonies are tight, but don't suit this song. the best thing about the song was it was relatively simple and the harmonies add complexity to it, and make you think a bit too much.
Actually I think their voices go very well together (seriously). I hadn't listened to this version when i posted my pithy little remark, but I couldn't resist. (You know I don't like her voice, so no news there.)
