Two more: (EMAIL) Paradise Oskar: http://escdaily.com/articles/6683 (AUDIO) Milana Misic: http://escdaily.com/articles/6809 Just gotta upload my interview with Jimi Constantine and then Finland is Finished, then on to Estonia and some of Malta!
(AUDIO) Jimi Constantine: http://escdaily.com/articles/7020 The final for Finland is also the longest. We actually spoke for 56 minutes, but a lot of that was just chatting and bits taken off the record. By far one of the coolest people I've ever met. Stay tuned for Rolf Junior and MID from Estonia coming up soon! I hope y'all are still reading these, it seems the people who mainly read them have left. Damn them.
I was actually a little upset, but upon watching the performances on youtube, I understood a little better why they were to two that got booted. But yeah, It was a little crushing. In other news, my interview with Jonna was linked to in the Mormon Times aww yeah, hitting the big time!
On to Estonia now! (EMAIL) MID (Masters in Distance): http://escdaily.com/articles/7950 I really enjoyed the dynamic of this interview, the two band members are brothers, and the younger brother Markus who is the lead singer gave very long, poetic answers, while the older brother Mihkel was a bit more straightforward.
(Email) Paul Lepasson (Mimicry): http://escdaily.com/articles/9103 escChat Contest regulars will remember Mimicry as the band that took Kristonia to 4th place in edition 15! The question about people perceiving him in Eurovision was not part of the original interview, I was worried that he might come across too uncaring about Eurovision, so I asked him the follow up question to try and get a response that would paint a more favourable picture. I'm not sure that I did, but it was an interesting response at least
(AUDIO) Sofia Rubina: http://escdaily.com/articles/9559 She was a little harder to talk to, I get the impression she's quite famous, but she was still fairly easy to interview and the conversation flowed nicely
http://escdaily.com/articles/10382 10 WAY MINI INTERVIEW WITH MOST OF THE FINNISH NATIONAL FINALISTS!! Hot.
Since I started writing for ESCDaily too, Liam and I decided to share this post from now on. Thanks Liam! The first interview I did was with an artist we saw in ESC last year. Vukašin Brajić, who represented Bosnia-Herzegovina and finished 17th! http://escdaily.com/articles/10514 There you go! Feel free to comment!
No worries! I'm not a fan of clutter on these boards, particularly since I only ever read the 'latest forum posts' Here's my new one, an email interview with the lead singer of Ans. Andur: http://escdaily.com/articles/10547 Really lovely articulate guy. Cute too...
(AUDIO) Meister ja Mari: http://escdaily.com/articles/10695 A fun interview, but it was also pretty awkward. You may be able to hear how edited it was! EDIT: (EMAIL) Stig from Outloudz: http://escdaily.com/articles/10726 One of the pre-eesti laul favourites, really nice guy and added me to FB afterwards too! huh!
(AUDIO) Marilyn Jurman: http://escdaily.com/articles/10858 The most adorable person on the planet. The cameras were on for this one so we could see each other and she had plaited pigtails. I mean who can compete with that!
(EMAIL) Shirubi Ikazuchi: http://escdaily.com/articles/11881 Kinda nuts, but in the most fun way possible
Tonight we will see the Macedonian National Final. I am appointed to do a live blog about it. I will post a link when it starts. At first, Eurovision.tv wasn't planning on broadcasting Skopje Fest. However, they will broadcast it after all! Still, it might be nice to read what happens
