Maltese Selection Malta will decide for the next Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 12th February 2011. A day before 24 semi-finalists will compete for 16 final spots. For the love of everything precious in this world do not send a ballad
Belgium lost a qualifier, but gained another http://eurovision.akamusic.com/alexandredeschamps Liam I think you like this too. There has been talk that this method of qualifying is unfair because some songs made it with few donations and for example with Elle Merveille, the song made huge leaps. For a while I thought it wasn't going to make it in such a short amount of time. I was rooting for it when it was around 16,000 next thing I know it reaches 17,000 then 18,000 in less than a week and the next day only a 100 or so Euros shy of the 20,000 mark. Good luck, Belgium. I'm glad you guys have joined some other countries in having songs in your national language(s).
TVP's official national final youtube page keeps uploading songs. No word yet on who will make the final cut, but I wanted to share this with you guys so maybe you could find a song to root for. http://www.youtube.com/user/piosenkadlaeuropy Watch the videos that say 2011 of course.

San Marino confirmed today. 41 official confirmations. Countries said to have applied, but have no official confirmations yet are: Hungary Montenegro Slovakia (despite their financial problem, they applied *supposedly*) The finalised list of participants will be revealed by the EBU after Christmas.
Estonia's songs revealed! Listen to them, bishes: http://eestilaul.err.ee/ Two songs were disqualified for breaking the September 1st rule. Janne Saar - Meeting The Wolf was replaced with Tiiu Kiik - Second Chance. Laika Virgin - Ilusad inimesed (shame for those who liked it; I did too) has been replaced with Meister ja Mari - Unemati.
Montenegro's out so no participation record will be broken. Hungary please make it. You too, Slovakia.
I put 10 Euros on Elle Merveille, and Alexandre sent me a message thanking me, realised I was Australian and sent another one in English. I sent him a reply in French and he told me my French is good and to keep it up! I also sent him a message congratulating him on qualifying, and he was really nice and replied again!
