The song is funny and the grannies are cute, but I think the other countries in this semi have more chance to qualify now. I don't see any jury voting for this, as the vocals are rather bad.
It's the general assumption people make. Juries are still normal people and can vote for novelty just as much. The Jury in Latvia voted for Beautiful Song and Disco Superfly but not for 'You Are A Star'. This is juries from like 20 countries potentially voting for Russia and they are just as prone to potentially voting for the grandmas as everyone else could.
I'm with James on this. Sure, the juries don't just vote for ballads but there has to be a song for them to vote. For example, I'm sure juries will vote for Norway, they had voted for Sweden and Ireland last year after all. I think the juries are less likely than televoters to vote for a novelty act (how many juries voted for Portugal last year?) and that's one of the reasons of them being there, that they don't just vote on an impulse like a televoter who sees something cute or funny and goes wow I'll vote for this but mainly for the song and/or good vocals. If the juries gave the Uk the 25th place last year, I find it very hard to believe that they will give these vocals/song a much higher place. Of course, some of them may find it cute etc but I think it will be a very limited number. PS Now that I wrote all that, just wait for the grannies to win the jury vote
Final version, less English than the other studio version. They took out the we wanna boom boom boom, we wanna party party and changed the intro. Grannytastic! Party for everybody...DANCE!
